Parish Health Ministry (PHM) is a movement that encourages churches to renew their role in health care, which includes promoting health, preventing disease, responding to crisis, and emphasizing a holistic approach to wellness and health care. Lives are changed – and sometimes saved – because of the screenings and outreach the program provides.
Supported solely by donations, the Parish Health Ministry program of Episcopal Retirement Services (ERS) assists congregations of all denominations throughout central and southern Ohio and northern Kentucky in developing or enhancing their own parish nurse/health ministry.
The ministry was founded in 1998 and currently serves 75 congregations across southern Ohio. Click here to learn more about our mission and history. You can also read a sample of success stories from some of our partners in 2018 and 2019 here.
