The Taste for Giving Gala will go live promptly at 7 p.m on Friday, October 8th, 2021.
To avoid the frustration that can come with last-minute technology glitches, we have assembled a few tips to help you prepare in advance. You will be able to log in as early as 6:30 p.m. that evening.
- We will be broadcasting via both Zoom, YouTube, and Facebook. Instructions for joining us via each of these are listed below.
- To connect to your television screen:
- If you have a Smart TV, all you will need is to be able to connect with YouTube Channel on your television and search the event with your remote.
- If you do not have a Smart TV, you can connect your laptop to your TV with an HDMI cable. You may use any of the channels below. Watch this simple tutorial for instructions.
- A camera is not needed on your device to view.
- Be sure you are in a location with WIFI access.
How to connect on Youtube or Zoom
YouTube
- On your streaming device or smart tv open the YouTube App. Or you can visit YouTube.com in your browser address bar on your computer.
- Click on search bar within your browser or the magnifier glass icon within the app.
- Type “Episcopal Retirement Services”
- Select the Episcopal Retirement Services channel (you’ll see the ERS logo).
- Select the ERS’ “A Taste for Giving” Gala

Zoom
- In a web browser type https://us06web.zoom.us/j/82869176827 in the address bar or click here.
- If you have the Zoom app already installed on your computer, a new window will pop up that reads “Open Zoom.us?” Click on the “Open Zoom.us” button.
- If you don’t have the Zoom app, click on “Having issues with Zoom Client? Join from Your Browser” at the bottom of the page in your web browser.
