The Promise Fund

At The Episcopal Church Home, the Promise Fund is the cornerstone of all fundraising efforts. Your annual gifts to this fund support all operations and allow us to deliver the kind of care and services our residents need and deserve to age with grace and dignity for the rest of their lives.

As a not-for-profit organization, ECH invests profits back into the community rather than pay owners or shareholders. Even so, resident fees are simply not enough to deliver the highest quality and most compassionate care to the residents we serve. Therefore, we rely on private contributions from friends in the community to bridge that gap.

Helping us provide:

Quality of life – Engaging our residents

The Promise Fund helps cover activities of daily living and necessary items not supported by Medicare or Medicaid such as beauty shop visits, laundry services, pastoral care, life enrichment opportunities, eyeglasses, hearing aids and much more. These additional offerings help our residents live fulfilled lives while maintaining their dignity, lifestyle, and self-esteem.

Outstanding Care – Highly Skilled Compassionate Staff

The Promise Fund also helps provide thousands of dollars in scholarships to staff members seeking professional development as well as advanced degrees and certifications. This support ensures that our residents receive care from some of the most talented, dedicated professionals in the community and helps us maintain our century-old reputation of being one of Louisville’s premier retirement communities.

Security – A Home for Life

Through no fault of their own, some of our residents outlive their financial resources. When they do, The Episcopal Church Home promises they will not be asked to leave but rather will have a home for life. While this commitment to our residents and families will never stop, it is a significant expense amounting to almost 1 million dollars a year and we rely on gifts to The Promise Fund to help meet this important need.

Help us keep the promise.

For more than 135 years The Episcopal Church Home has delivered high quality, person-centered living experiences to Louisville’s aging seniors. But we haven’t done it on our own. It’s due in large part to the generosity of donors like you. Thank you for helping us meet the high standards of the families like yours who trust us to care for their loved ones.
