BARNABAS BAG

The following was obtained at the National Health Ministry Association Convention. We would like to pass this on to you, so that you can be an "encourager" to those with whom you work. The "Barnabas Bag," was named after Barnabas, who was known as the "encourager." This simple and fun service may provide just the right amount of encouragement to someone you know - and love!

Your simple job is to gather all the supplies, copy the instructions and place in a zip-lock bag.

DIRECTIONS:
This is a Barnabas Bag sent with the purpose of encouraging you! (Acts 4:36) Read the instructions carefully and follow them prayerfully to receive full benefit.

First, use the Kleenex to dry any tears you may be shedding and remember God promises one day to wipe away every tear (Rev. 7: 14-17)

Next, take a refreshing bath and reflect on His goodness to you. In Acts 3:19 we're reminded that true times of refreshment come from the presence of the Lord.

Then, have a cup of hot tea and use the note card to write a word of thanks or encouragement to someone else. When we encourage others, we ourselves are lifted up.
(1 Samuel 23:16 and 1 Thess. 5-11)

Now, light the candle and be reminded each time
you light it of John 8:12. He is the light of the world.
1 John 1:5 says, in Him there is no darkness at all. He promises to be a lamp unto your feet and light to your path. (Psalm 119:105) It is He who will illuminate your darkness. (Psalm 18:28)

Place the inspirational card somewhere to remind you how much He cares for you and how much He is in control of everything. His purpose will never be thwarted. (Job 42:2) He loves you! (Jer 31:3 and Deut. 33:27)
